This is today’s Prompt a Day.
I actually have a whole list, but the main thing I’d love to do if I had more time is create some nicer artwork for this blog and for my non-existent website! I took art in school for years, but you’d never know it from the way my blog and Twitter sites look! Maybe it’s because I’m too busy with said blogs and Twitter and work and NaNoWriMo and trying to promote my two existing books.
Yes, I’ve heard many times that I can hire people to help with some of these things, especially the marketing, and I understand that, but there are certain aspects of all this that I don’t want to delegate. Like all of it. So, I suffer.
As for the website, I’d love to get that off the ground as well, and I took HTML coding courses too, but now there’s HTML 5, which I suppose makes things easier (?), but it’s different, which means I need to sit down and figure that out as well. I’m learning some imaging and drawing programs, and you can see that my skills are somewhat improving, but I get so mad sometimes when I see such gorgeous artwork at http://www.steampunktendencies.com and I say to myself, “I can do that, if I only had the time!” a great deal of that needs to be hand drawn and then scanned in and worked on, and I just don’t have the time or energy to do that with all the other things I need to do.
So, it sits at the back of the line…
One last thing, my book is being featured on Tuesday July 1st 2014 at eBookSoda, a new readers’ site where they’ll send you ebook recommendations tailored to your taste. http://www.ebooksoda.com. The very first of my true advertising efforts for The Inventor’s Son: The Beginning. http://www.ebooksoda.com/ebook-deals/the-inventors-son-the-beginning-by-sb-james is the actual page where my book is featured.
Absolutely. There are so many things I would do if I had the time. I have always loved singing and acting, and actually majored in voice for a while in college. I would love to do some promotional videos involving my love for performing. But sadly, the problem is finding the time, the money, and the people..

The time is so valuable. I think people don’t really understand how valuable it is. We sell our time so cheaply sometimes.
