The Agenda For March 2015

I realized I’m coming up on one year of this blog’s existence. To everyone who had read or followed me on my writing journey, I am deeply grateful. I know I am not the most consistent blogger, but it still is a very big achievement for me. I would have liked to say this was my 100th blog post, but at least I average over one post a week, even though I didn’t always write a post every week (sigh).
Here’s a picture of the dirigible-in-progress for Book 3, The Explorer’s Son:

Clearly, I’ve got a lot of work to do!

The background color is most likely going to be the color of the next book.
This week I’ve started working on the print versions of my books. Though The Beginning is freely available on a number of sites, including Wattpad, I’ve decided that I’d lose nothing if I created a print version. I’ve finally figured out what I’m doing with basic formatting. Now I get to play around and make it look really pretty before sending it to the printer. My goal is to make the print version available first at Amazon and Barnes & Noble’s website. To put it into bookstores will take a different printing company, and if I get any kind of idea that getting the books into a store is at all feasible, then I’ll take it there. But for now, I’m wanting to get my book to people who aren’t digital like I am.
I’m also still working on the website, but that’s going to take a back seat to the print books. I should have those files ready soon, so I can finish editing The Explorer’s Son and get back on schedule for that. With The Explorer’s Son, I might even try my hand at a pre-order!

  1. Congrats on hitting the one-year mark! A paper edition sounds like a very cool project, and the dirigible is coming along. Those simple steampunky designs look good on a book cover. You could do a sterling engine, those things are hawt.

Anyhoo, CONGRATS! and keep going 🙂
